　　故事紧接上一季结尾，Kiera阻止了Liber8组织发动的恐怖袭击，但事情却远不止这么简单。当本季开始之时，市长被大胆的刺客刺杀，已经消失了一段时间的Kiera不得不再次出现，与Carlos联手调查这起案件。与此同时，Kiera尝试与Alec重新取得联系并缓解他们之间的紧张关系，但是Alec在读过未来自己所留的信息之后已经完全变了一个人。

Back at Baywatch, two new recruits show up for rookie training season who are the wealthy and spoiled teen Matt Brody, and lower class swim champion Summer Quinn who moves to California with her divorced single mother looking to escape from an abusive past.

本剧为选集剧形式，每集将解决一个不同的谋杀案，自带测谎仪功能的查理开车上路，每经过一站会遇上不同的角色和奇怪的案件。
