该部《迈克·杰克逊：找寻梦幻岛》改编自2014年出版的传记《铭记时间：在迈克·杰克逊生命的最后阶段保护他》（Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days），此本传记由迈克·杰克逊的保镖创作。

影片聚焦迈克尔·杰克逊生命的最后一年，这也是杰克逊人生中最灰暗的阶段。在这一年里，杰克逊不得不一边躲避着不依不饶的狗仔队，一边在庄园中照顾他的孩子。

该片由戴安妮·休斯顿（Dianne Houston）执导，苏珊· 迪·帕斯（Suzanne de Passe）担任制片人，据了解，二人也将携手出席影片首映礼。影片中的主角由着名的MJ模仿者Navi担任。

本片以港珠澳大桥建设最后一节沉管E30号沉放安装过程为叙述主线，表现了中国桥梁建设者们自力更生、“敢为天下先”的创新精神和艰苦卓绝的奋斗历程，展示了大桥项目涉及水文、地质、白海豚、防台风和满足通航、海事、航空限高等复杂的建设难题，并将大桥主体工程桥、岛、隧三大部分的设计理念和世界领先的关键技术，如万花筒般呈现出来。影片利用多样的拍摄手段，巧妙的剪辑手法，讲述了港珠澳大桥建造期间生动的故事。在刻画了一个个鲜活人物的同时，影片借助文献的力量，搜集了大量珍贵的纪录片视频资料，通过对中国桥梁史的分析，使影片内容更具科学性，影片精神更具传承。

From then on, he decided to devote his life to animation, this magical art capable of overcoming the darkness that had always deeply inhabited him... Thanks to exceptional access granted by Studio Ghibli to numerous film excerpts and rare Japanese television archives, we discover the life of Miyazaki as well as a profoundly ecological body of work that questions our relationship with the natural world and living beings. Thinkers like anthropologist Philippe Descola or philosopher Timothy Morton, as well as close associates, his son and film director Gorō Miyazaki, and Toshio Suzuki, his longtime producer and friend, bring us closer to this tireless, obsessive, and mysterious artist.
